ALPOLIC is an homogeneous tension-free composite material produced by Mitsubishi Chemicals in Japan. Alpolic comprises two layers of metal sandwiching a fire proof core.
The production process allows a low stress finish, which ensures a high degree of flatness can be maintained. Sorba Projects own machinery which can produce panels up to 4.8mtr in length.
The panel comprises of two outer layers of aluminium each 0,5 mm thick finished with a multilayer LUMIFLON-coating. This coating is available in all colours and is UV resistant.
The panels can be used as either flat or profiled cladding. The material is simple to work with, allowing complex forms to be constructed. Examples of which are round pillars, single curves and countoured cladding.
The Alpolic material is also available in stainless steel, zinc and titanium.
Please contact Sorba Projects for additional information and samples. Further information can also be found on the ALPOLIC website.
